The Confetti Hearts Mural Goes to School

 

Last week I had the pleasure of visiting some 3rd graders at Myers Park Traditional School here in Charlotte. They created their own version of the confetti hearts wall and invited me to see it---isn't that just the sweetest thing ever?! It was so fun to go back to school for the afternoon and tell them more about why and how I painted the mural. They had the funniest questions and the most infectious enthusiasm. Growing up, I always thought being an art teacher would be the coolest job and this felt like the universe's own crazy way of letting me live that out for a bit.
