Born in Columbus, GA, Evelyn grew up with a love for all things creative. She spent her childhood inventing stories on her Grandmother's typewriter and illustrating pictures to go along with them. She quickly became obsessed with handwriting and made tiny lettering the class room trend in 3rd grade. Though she was eventually asked to stay after class because the teacher couldn't read her spelling quizzes, she was always known for having pretty handwriting. In middle school, she mastered Microsoft's paint program and spent her free time creating colorful patterns she could use as binder covers, powerpoint backgrounds, cards and as wallpaper in her school locker. By the time she graduated high school, she had a binder filled with over a thousand different patterns.
