Behind the Scenes: The Abstract Series

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

Inspired by my love for everyday color palettes, penchant for the everyday, and the works of 1950s artist Mark Rothko, I've been working on a colorful new abstract series over the last couple weeks. I developed the palettes from morning walk scenes and photos on my studio inspiration board. Each painting is named after the main photo I pulled its colors from so you'll see fun titles like "cannonball," "cake for breakfast," and "elle woods" throughout the series. You can follow along on instagram here to "meet" each piece in the coming weeks. The abstract series will include 10 original works and 15 prints available for a limit time on July 21st.
