The Glass is Half Full & Filled with Flowers! (New Flower Print Series)

 NEW PRINTS

I just added a series of new flower prints that I wanted to tell y'all more about! I first painted these back in November for those who wanted to gift original art as a holiday gift. After the original paintings all sold, I received a lot of inquiries about print versions from those who missed out on the originals. With Spring around the corner (HOORAY!), I thought this would be the perfect time to add them to my site.

I picked 15 of the 30ish paintings to turn into art prints (offered in sizes 12x12, 18x18, and 24x24). Each piece was originally completed with a mix of gouache, acrylic, & watercolor on rag paper and will be professionally reprinted on rag paper for a beautiful, high quality finish that mirrors the original. If you want to watch me paint some of them in real time, check out my instagram story highlights here

MY LIFELONG LOVE FOR FLOWERS

For as long as I can remember, I've been enamored with flowers, specifically daffodil season---that time in late Feb/early March where the daffodils bloom; they bring sunshine into the days that are still cold and short. I used to love picking them in my neighborhood growing up! Emerson was dead on when he said "the earth laughs in flowers"---they bring so much joy into the everyday.

Flowers are a subject that I am endlessly inspired by & going back to. The first painting I did (outside of a high school art class or something) was a floral bouquet for Mother's Day in 2012. You can read more about that painting here, but I basically haven't put down the paintbrush since. Not only do I find the shapes & colors in flowers beautiful, but one of my life mantras is:

"The glass is half full & filled with flowers!"

I hope this sense of optimism & joy comes across in this series' vivid brushstrokes & happy colors. My goal with every piece I create is to inspire sunshine that brightens your home for years to come.
