Since writing my artist FAQ a couple weeks ago, I've had a few questions about one of my favorite online learning resources: Skillshare. I've taken a myriad of their online classes since starting my business in 2013 because they have classes for e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g! I don't know about yall, but I have a growing, never-ending list of things I want/need to learn, and this has been a reliable resource for me over the years. Whether I've wanted to learn more about marketing, SEO, or an Adobe program, I've always been able to quickly and easily get help through Skillshare. Because I'm such a fan, I'm partnering with them to give you two months of FREE ACCESS to all of their classes here. Not only are there are thousands of classes to choose from, but you can move at your own pace or even take the class twice (which I have done several times).

Once you sign up with this exclusive link for 2 months of free classes, here are the top 5 classes I'd recommend taking----

1. Introduction to Surface Pattern Design with Bonnie Christine: I took this (and several other classes through Bonnie) to learn more about making patterns in Adobe. I don't do design patterns exactly the way she does, but all of her classes gave me insight on how to start designing repeats, creating pattern collections, and all things surface design. I took this Intro class about three times and found it extremely useful.

2. Gary V. Social Media Strategy: I think I took this class in 2013 or 2014 so I'm not sure how up to date it is in today's social media world given it was before instagram stories and some other developments, but I always find Gary V's perspectives on marketing insightful, and, from what I can remember, the overall message is still relevant. If you like this class, you will also love his book Jab, Jab, Right Hook

3. Watercolor with Juliet Meeks: If you're wanting basic watercolor classes, I would try these by Juliet Meeks. I haven't personally taken the class, but I follow her on instagram and love her work. She'd be a great person to learn from, especially if you're interested in flowers.

4. Hand lettering with Mary Kate McDevitt: I've had this one bookmarked for awhile. I love Mary Kate's work and would love to expand what I already know about hand lettering through her classes.

5. Photography for Beginners: Because I'm constantly trying and often failing to take pretty product photos, this is a course I have bookmarked as well. I really want to get better at basic photography and this course looks like an awesome one to start with.
