JOURNAL

Today I want to introduce a new project of mine with you called Evelyn Henson Giving.

Since I started my business in 2013, I've used my art to fundraise for various organizations, including Make a Wish CWNC, The Winship Institute at Emory, and The National Mental Health Alliance. I love being able to create something that gives back and I have thoroughly enjoyed each experience.

The above inspired me to create "Evelyn Henson Giving." On this new website, I hope to continually use my art to raise funds for various organizations as I am able. Whether this means once a year or a dozen, I'm really not sure yet, but I'm excited to see where it goes and to have a designated place for this to happen. When I would do this on my business website, it would throw off some of my analytics in a way that was confusing for me, and taking orders via instagram DM's was too time consuming. I'm hoping that this website will make the process easier so I'm able to do this more often.

I am currently working with CF Charlotte's STANDOUT program to fundraise for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-threatening genetic illness that affects mainly the lungs and pancreas of its 30,000 patients in the US (70,000 worldwide). Currently there is no cure. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in CF research and care and an organization on the forefront of medicine. You can learn more or donate directly here.

To reach my fundraising goal, I will be designing limited time art collections (available here on evelynhensongiving.com) from which 100% of the proceeds will benefit their organization. In addition to purchasing art from these collections, you can make a direct donation to support this cause here. Because my involvement with The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has begun in CLT, this first collection will feature CLT neighborhood inspired artwork.
